It’s been almost two weeks since Western North Carolina was hit by Hurricane Helene. We know many people are facing challenges right now, and as we work through these difficult times, know that together we will rebuild, reconnect and see each other again out on the trails when the time is right. The Ecusta Trail is closed until further notice while Henderson County assesses the situation and creates a plan for the future.

While the photos below show areas where the sub-pavement was badly damaged, there are sections where the trail appears to be in good shape. We will keep you informed as we learn more from Henderson County’s assessment.
